The Dubai branch of FAI Rent-a-jet secures approval for Medical Escort Services

The Dubai-based branch of German emergency medical flight provider FAI Rent-a-jet has been awarded Commercial Airline Medical Escort (CAME) accreditation by the European Aero-Medical Institute (EURAMI). This accreditation, announced on Monday, adds to FAI’s existing approval as a EURAMI provider, granted in early 2023.

The CAME endorsement signifies that aeromedical flight operators are authorized to transport patients either seated in a cabin or on a designated stretcher. With this accreditation, FAI’s Dubai operation becomes the first private emergency medical flight provider in a Gulf Cooperation Council state to hold the EURAMI CAME accreditation. Additionally, it stands out as the sole European fixed-wing aircraft operator with both approvals in the region. To achieve CAME approval, operators must successfully complete a minimum of 100 missions. They are also required to demonstrate the presence of suitably qualified staff, along with the necessary infrastructure and equipment mandated by EURAMI.FAI’s fleet comprises 10 aircraft, featuring a range of Bombardier jets such as the Learjet 60, Challenger 604, and Global Express. The company, supported by a team of 250 full-time employees and 50 part-time medical professionals, including physicians, nurses, and paramedics, operates maintenance facilities in Nuremberg and Berlin. Notably, FAI specializes in providing air support in challenging environments for a prominent non-governmental organization.
