Saudia Academy Unveils Two A320neo Flight Simulators

Saudia Academy, a crucial division of the Saudia Group, has unveiled two advanced A320neo flight simulators, provided by the leading industry provider L3Harris Technologies (LHX).

This addition brings the total count of A320neo flight simulators operated by the Academy to five. The recent launch event, held under the esteemed patronage of Saudia Group’s Director General, Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, underscores Saudia Academy’s commitment to excellence.

The event, attended by notable delegates, including executives from L3Harris and Airbus, showcased the Academy’s determination to raise training standards in the region.

Capt. Ismael S. Alkoshy, CEO of Saudia Academy, emphasized the significance of the new A320neo simulators, highlighting their role in positioning the Academy as a leader in aviation training technology.

“This strategic expansion reflects our commitment to meeting the dynamic needs of the regional market,” stated Capt. Alkoshy, underlining the Academy’s proactive stance in adapting to the evolving aviation landscape.

Alan Crawford, President of L3Harris Commercial Aviation Solutions, expressed pride in the collaborative effort between L3Harris and Saudia Academy. “Providing two cutting-edge A320neo simulators underscores our commitment to Saudia Academy’s growth plans,” remarked Crawford, emphasizing the mutually beneficial relationship between the two industry leaders.

Saudia Academy currently operates four facilities in Jeddah: Flight Training, Safety Training, In-Flight Service Training, and Technical Training, which is set to relocate to the MRO Village under Saudia Technic. With these facilities catering to various aspects of aviation training, Saudia Academy is ready for further expansion.

Plans to establish a new flight training facility in Riyadh represent a strategic move to strengthen the Academy’s presence and extend its influence within the aviation domain. The facility aims to address both regional and international aviation and non-aviation needs.
