Dubai’s dnata bags multi-year contract with ITA Airways in USA

Leading global air and travel services provider, dnata, has been awarded a multi-year contract to offer inflight catering services to ITA Airways from its facilities at Los Angeles International (LAX) and San Francisco International (SFO) airports.

dnata’s trained teams will be responsible to produce and uplift over 200,000 meals annually to ensure a world-class dining experience on board the Italian flag carrier’s daily flights from both airports to Rome.

“Our experienced team will contribute to the excellent onboard experience by consistently delivering outstanding meals that passengers love,” Peter DeVito, CEO of dnata Catering North America, said.

Including ITA Airways, dnata provides catering and retail services to over 40 airline customers at 12 airports with a team of more than 1,000 hospitality professionals throughout the USA. In Los Angeles and San Francisco, dnata uplifted over three million meals for over 11,000 individual flights in the last financial year 2023-24.

dnata’s catering and retail division is one of the world’s leading inflight hospitality providers. The company’s 10,500 catering professionals produce over 110 million meals annually, serving full service, low-cost and VIP carriers from more than 60 locations.

“We look forward to a long and prosperous partnership with the ITA Airways team,” DeVito added.
