Airport International Group, the Jordan-based company tasked with overseeing the development and operation of Queen Alia International Airport (AMM), has reported a notable increase in passenger traffic for February 2024.
During February, AMM welcomed a total of 676,355 passengers, marking a significant rise of 4.5% compared to figures from 2023. Additionally, the airport facilitated 5,396 aircraft movements and handled 6,571 tons of cargo. While there was a marginal 0.1% decrease in aircraft movements, there was a substantial 46.8% surge in cargo volume compared to the same period last year.
In terms of year-to-date statistics, AMM has observed a steady increase in passenger numbers, with a 3.6% uptick totaling 1,371,859 passengers compared to the corresponding period in 2023. Furthermore, the airport recorded 11,163 aircraft movements and managed 12,978 tons of cargo, indicating a slight 2.3% decline in aircraft movements but a significant 40.5% increase in cargo compared to the same period last year.

He emphasized the company’s commitment to working closely with industry partners to expand travel options through Queen Alia International Airport.
