Qatar Aeronautical Academy Partners with South Korean Counterpart for Enhanced Aviation Training

The Qatar Aeronautical Academy (QAA) and the Incheon Airport Aviation Academy (IAAA) in South Korea have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), as reported by the Qatari news agency QNA.

The agreement, formalized on Sunday, involves the development and implementation of various collaborative initiatives. These include training programs, exchanges of students and trainers, cooperative activities, joint marketing, promotion efforts, and the hosting of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) courses in both countries.

The signing ceremony, attended by Jassim Saif Ahmed Al-Sulaiti, Minister of Transport, and other dignitaries from both parties, witnessed the QAA Director General Sheikh Jabor bin Hamad al-Thani and Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC) Vice President Hyoung-Wook Jeon sealing the agreement.

Al-Sulaiti emphasized the importance of the agreement, stating that it plays a vital role in refining and advancing the knowledge and skills of students and academy members. This is achieved through access to state-of-the-art educational and training resources in civil aviation, as well as facilitating the exchange of experiences between Qatar and South Korea.

“The Ministry of Transport supports all aspects of cooperation with the world’s leading educational institutions to enhance QAA’s operational pathway,” remarked the minister.

“This initiative is aimed at fostering promising generations capable of addressing the civil aviation sector’s demands, thereby serving societal needs and aligning with the goals of the Third National Development Strategy and the implementation of Qatar National Vision 2023,” he added.
