Oman Air resumes service to Zurich, Malé and Moscow for winter season

With an aim to reinforce its commitment to boost travel experience, Oman Air has resumed three seasonal routes for winter; Zurich (starting 5 October), Malé (starting 27 October) and Moscow (starting 29 October). The one-way fares start from OMR 88.

The airline operates direct flights from Muscat to over 40 destinations across Europe, the Far East, Indian Subcontinent, Africa and, Middle East. Oman Air is also looking into increasing frequencies on its most popular routes, which will be announced soon.

Gearing up for the peak winter season, the airline is offering a range of travel experiences, from the sun-soaked shores of the Maldives to the snow-capped slopes of Switzerland and the cultural and historical riches of Russia, as well as many more.

Whether travelling for business or leisure, travellers can benefit from affordable fares, seamless connectivity and award-winning service.

As part of ongoing efforts to increase the sustainability of its onboard experience, Oman Air has redesigned the packaging for its Economy Class earphones, replacing single-use plastic PET foil with a recyclable Kraft paper envelope.

Working with Linstol, a global eco-friendly in-flight products provider, the airline anticipates the change will enable it to eliminate 6.48 tonnes of non-recyclable waste material each year, an amount which equates to saving an estimated 110 trees from deforestation or conserving 207,360 litres of water.

“We believe that small changes make a big impact and we continue to look for innovative solutions in all corners of our operations, while promoting and advocating for initiatives that support both the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Oman’s national objectives,” said Con Korfiatis, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air.

Recently, Oman has entered into a new Bilateral Air Service Agreement (BASA) with Tanzania, aimed at enhancing and expanding air transport between the two nations.

The revised agreement will open doors for collaboration between aviation companies in Oman and Tanzania. The focus of the agreement is advancement of travel and tourism, data sharing, analytics, and the utilisation of airport infrastructure, as per reports
