Achieving a major milestone in Hong Kong, Dubai’s flagship carrier Emirates inaugurated a one-of-a-kind travel store on Wednesday, July 17.
The airline said in a statement that the store’s opening also signifies the launch of Emirates Travel’s first location in the Far East and is a component of a retail strategy that will be implemented gradually throughout the region and the airline’s global network.
The 1,500 square foot concept store provides a number of high-end services, such as ticketing, flight booking, and individualised customer support.
Orhan Abbas, Senior Vice President, Commercial Operations, Far East, of Emirates, officially unveiled the travel store in the presence of Sultan Alriyami, Area Manager for Emirates in Hong Kong, and UAE Consul General Shaikh Saoud Al Mualla.
“The city has always been strategically important for us and by launching our first travel store in Central Hong Kong, we aim to offer our valued customers an elevated travel retail experience, and better deliver Emirates’ hospitality at every step of the customer journey,” said Orhan.
He added, “In line with our ‘Fly Better’ promise, Emirates travel store combines advanced technology with personalised service provided by our well-versed travel consultants to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for our customers.”
Currently, Emirates operates 21 weekly flights between Dubai and Hong Kong. The airline recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Hong Kong Tourism Board to increase inbound travel to the city from many important regions in Europe and the Middle East, demonstrating its dedication to the Hong Kong market.
The redesigned Emirates Lounge at Hong Kong International Airport has also reopened to visitors, and business class travellers in Hong Kong may now take use of its complimentary chauffeur-drive service, which will further improve their trip experience.
