Flynas Unveils Extensive Expansion of Saudi to UAE Flight Routes
Saudi Arabia’s low-cost carrier, Flynas, has announced a significant expansion of its UAE network, with plans to operate up to 20 flights per day between the two countries. The announcement was made during the Arabian Travel Market 2024 in Dubai, where Flynas revealed its intention to broaden its presence in the UAE market by adding Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai to its network.
By September 2024, Flynas will become the sole Saudi Arabian airline serving the four major airports in the UAE. The expansion will see the number of routes between Saudi Arabia and the UAE increase from four to nine, facilitating more than 20 daily flights. Bander Almohanna, Managing Director and CEO of Flynas, expressed excitement about enhancing air connectivity between the two countries, emphasizing Flynas’ commitment to growth and expansion.
Almohanna highlighted Flynas’ operational excellence and fleet expansion efforts, noting the airline’s dedication to meeting the growing demand for low-cost travel in the region.
The expansion aligns with the National Civil Aviation Strategy, aimed at enabling national carriers to connect Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations and accommodate 330 million passengers and 100 million tourists annually by 2030. With this latest initiative, Flynas will offer flights from its four operational bases across Saudi Arabia to the UAE market, further solidifying its position as a key player in the region’s aviation industry.
